Syria’s Bashar al-Assad and his household have arrived in Russia and have been granted asylum by the Russian authorities, Russian information companies reported on Sunday, citing a Kremlin supply.

The Interfax information company quoted the unnamed supply as saying: “President Assad of Syria has arrived in Moscow. Russia has granted them (him and his household) asylum on humanitarian grounds.”
